A rare and exceptional survivor from the 1904 World's Fair era. This is a genuine wooden veneer postcard (not leather or paper).
* Year: 1904 (Clearly postmarked McHenry, Illinois, Sept 3, 1904).
* Material: Natural wood grain veneer. These are incredibly rare to find in one piece as most snapped during postal transit.
* Design: Features a hand-burned (pyrography) Gibson Girl-style fashion illustration with original hand-painted accents.
* Provenance: Handwritten on the front: "With love from your son, Henry." Includes the original 1902 Series 1-cent Benjamin Franklin stamp.
* Condition: Museum quality. No cracks, splits, or chips to the wood.
